David Finnigan
Risk Gaming Partner

David Finnigan works with government, business and research institutions to model complex systems and turn them into games. These games are designed to facilitate communication, to help people navigate complex challenges, and to train useful skills.

He works as a consultant on communicating climate and disaster risk for the World Bank, as a member of the World Bank Global Program for Safer Schools and on missions to Romania and Nepal.

He has been in residence at the Earth Observatory Singapore at Nanyang Technological University developing risk games and activities illustrating climate risk in south-east Asia. These games have been used by local governments, NGOs and businesses in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

He has developed games around climate and disaster risk for Chatham House, the Stockholm Resilience Centre, University College London and the Centre for Marine Socioecology in Tasmania.
